West Midlands Sight Loss Council held a VI Forum on Friday, 24 November, to discuss the barriers they face at concerts, film screenings, the theatre and more in the West Midlands. 

As life returns to some sense of normalcy, many arts, culture and entertainment venues and event organisers are putting measures in place to ensure they are accessible to blind and partially sighted venue goers and customers. But does more need to be done?

Michelle Adderley from NEC Birmingham talked about the work done behind the scenes across NEC venues to ensure good practice at the planning stage of all NEC events.

Agent for Change, Bethany Steventon-Crinks talked about the accessibility adaptations in place to make Birmingham Repertory Theatre accessible as possible to all.
