Invite your MP to our Meet the Sight Loss Councils event
Sight Loss Councils are holding our first ever ‘Meet the Sight Loss Councils’ event in Westminster on Tuesday 29 March and are calling on visually impaired people to ‘invite your MP’.
We have sent invitations out to MPs to meet our dedicated blind and partially sighted volunteers and learn more about the challenges visually impaired people face in their daily lives.
MPs will be encouraged to try simulation spectacles that demonstrate various sight conditions as well as the aids and adaptations which help blind and partially sighted people remain independent.
Our Sight Loss Council members will share the issues they face with their respective MPs – from the lack of employment opportunities, access to health and care, to accessible transport and sports facilities.
We will ask MPs to raise awareness of our campaigns and urge them to work with us on the issues affecting the everyday lives of their blind and partially sighted constituents.
Marsha De Cordova MP is kindly hosting the afternoon drop-in event in the Thames Pavilion on Tuesday 29 March from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Please invite your MP to the event
It only takes a few moments! The simple form below links to an easy-to-use template for you to invite your MP to meet your Sight Loss Council member.
