Sight Loss Council Conference 2021
We are hosting our first-ever national Sight Loss Council conference on 8-10 October in Birmingham! The conference will showcase and celebrate the work Sight Loss Councils have achieved. It is also a chance for SLC members to meet one another, share ideas and skills.
The programme for the conference will include workshops, training, good practice sharing, planning, celebrating success and more.
On Saturday, special guest ‘Blind Dave Heeley’ will give an inspirational talk on the importance of believing in oneself.
Rodney Powell Awards
We will present the new Rodney Powell Awards for volunteering in the evening – celebrating volunteers’ contributions during the year. English Comedian of the Year, Josh Pugh, will compere the ceremony.
These awards will recognise the contribution a volunteer or volunteering team has made to the lives of blind and partially sighted people and TPT.
